    I thought it was a brilliant idea as temporary to see how it goes as I live near but I don't think it's fair how the older tenants had to be forced to move out saying asbestos and the heating then move other people in temporary wouldn't of been so bad but there gonna be alot of people there who have drug problems and we already have trouble with people selling drugs from near the long wall near the shop I think it will make it alot worse and we have quite a few children living on this estate who shouldn't be seeing stuff like that as it is

    Hi. Temporary would be for possibly 5 years, which means that the rest of the site couldn't easily be redeveloped, so there would be a lot of potential extra housing that wouldn't be available. North Wales Police have commented on the application and they would like further details of who DCC plan to house on the site.

  You may have seen the news article on the DCC website , posted last August? Having listened to feedback at the 3 July meeting, and following further meetings with Officers where alternative options were explored, it was decided that this proposal was no longer the best option to pursue. Your views and comments helped achieve this decision. Now you will (hopefully) soon be able to comment on the updated plans for the Maes Emlyn site. A pre-planning consultation for the new development was to have been published in the autumn where DCC plan for residents to have another opportunity to share their views on the new plans. We've asked DCC for any update.

Excellent turnout from residents to the DCC 'Drop In' session Wednesday 8 March 2023

 First of all apologies for not updating this more frequently. But rest assured we have been working on your behalf behind the scenes to raise your concerns about the DCC plans for Maes Emlyn. Again, we would point out that we all agree that being homeless is awful and anything we can do to help reduce the number of homeless folk is welcome. But. It's not just having a plan. Having a plan doesn't mean having the answer. Below is a copy of our newsletter 2, which we delivered to almost 900 households at the start of March.
